The challenge

Vegaa manages large-scale food production operations where coordination between management, supervisors, and production staff is critical. Prior to digitalization, inventory management, production planning, employee scheduling, and communication were handled through spreadsheets, printed documents, and verbal instructions.

Solutions

  • Developed a hybrid platform combining Electron.js desktop applications for management teams and React Native mobile applications for supervisors and operational staff.
  • Built real-time task assignment and tracking capabilities allowing employees to receive, update, and complete assigned work directly from mobile devices.
  • Implemented a WebSocket-powered communication platform with group messaging, team channels, moderation controls, and instant notifications.
  • Created inventory and batch management modules with proactive shortage detection and procurement alerts.
  • Developed recipe planning and meal production workflows to streamline kitchen operations and maintain consistency.
